Xinhuo Cinema｜Academic screening and creative exchange event preview of the film "Say Good Morning to Me"

Beijing Film Academy will hold an academic screening and creative exchange activity of “Say Good Morning to Me” in Hall 5 of Huairou Campus from 18:00 to 20:00 on May 28, 2025. This academic screening and exchange activity is sponsored by the Psychological Quality Education Center, the Youth League Committee of the University, and the Department of Academic (Research) Affairs, and hosted by the Propaganda Department of the Youth League Committee, the Student Union, the Graduate Student Union, the University Student TV Station, and the Light and Shadow Academic Media Center.

The event invited the producer of the film “Good Morning to Me” Sun Lijun , producer Zhang Yongjian , screenwriter/director Sun Jia , starring Shang Xiaoyi , Bai Xiaoou , Wang Jinsong , Xu Huanhuan , Zhang Hui , and art director Chang Kai to attend the post-screening academic exchange session, hosted by teacher Jiang Lin from the Psychological Quality Education Center . At that time, they will share with everyone the creative process of using images to explore the scars of the soul and the profound story of redemption between women, bringing students a film screening and creative dialogue activity that combines the value of artistic healing and the depth of humanistic care.

2 Plot Synopsis

The film tells the story of Xia Chuzheng, who has loved painting since childhood, suffering from severe depression in an art exam training class. Faced with her family’s great misunderstanding, she decided to plan to commit suicide in Fangkou Village. After her classmate Li Mengqi discovered her secret, she offered to help her. Chuzheng, who was half-believing and half-doubting, gradually opened her heart to this girl.
