On the morning of April 23 , a major launch event centered on AI empowerment, intelligent imaging, teacher-student co-creation, and setting a benchmark for film capitals will be held during the 6th China Film Capital Development Forum. Ten AI-powered films for theatrical release will be launched at the event, shaping a new paradigm for the film industry with intelligent imaging and contributing new achievements to the field of intelligent imaging at this year’s Beijing International Film Festival.
This launch event, led by Professor Sun Lijun of Beijing Film Academy , with renowned screenwriter Wang Xingdong as the chief planner and Dong Hao in the cast, brings together faculty, students, and industry professionals to create a total investment of over 500 million yuan. Ten AI-powered theatrical films will be showcased, demonstrating the strong capabilities of collaboration between the university and local government, and the deep integration of industry, academia, and research, further enhancing the reputation of “Productions from Beijing Film Academy”.
The works released this time will leverage AI-powered filmmaking to empower the construction of Huairou District’s world-class strategic technology integration and development demonstration zone, and inject strong momentum into the development of the Great Wall International Animation Valley. It is understood that the works cover six major themes: realistic inspirational stories, Eastern epics, animated mythology, science fiction action, sports and environmental protection, and rural light comedy. They utilize AI technology to revitalize Chinese stories, adhering to a model of human creative leadership and efficient AI execution, combining intellectual depth, artistic merit, and market potential. Simultaneously, relying on AI’s full-chain empowerment, film production will achieve significantly reduced cycles and costs, with image quality reaching top-tier theatrical standards, marking a new stage in the commercialization of intelligent filmmaking. This release will achieve a triple breakthrough in technology, industry, and talent, providing a benchmark solution for the “Film Capital Intelligent Manufacturing” creative system.
